Great Show, if You Have Earplugs

Our Lady Peace opened the show, and were great! The drums sounded great, not too loud, the sound mix during their set was pretty good. Although the drums didn't sound as good as OLP, the set from +Live+ was great too. I think you know where this is going... Overall the volume was noticeably louder than OLP, but still reasonable for a rock concert. They cranked it way past 11, the set from The 502s was way too loud. The speakers were able to handle the thunderous sound, but our ears couldn't. We got some earplugs from guest services so we could survive the rest of the set. It's ridiculous that the sound "engineer" feels the need to give the fans hearing damage. It sounded pretty good with the earplugs :-). BTW, I am a drummer, so I'm familiar with loud.
